Hazards from humid environments:

  • Condensation hazard. The power supply of the laser source is generally separated from the laser cutting head, and tthe power supply usually has vents for heat dissipation. In a highly humid environment, moisture can enter the power supply through the vents and condense on the circuit board, causing a short circuit failure. In addition, humid air will also affect the transmission of high-voltage pulses through the power line interface, causing pre-ignition failure of the xenon lamp.
  • Mold hazard. Humid air favors mold growth. Poor ventilation will speed up mold growth. Mold contains a lot of water, and the acidic substances secreted during the metabolic process will greatly reduce the insulation performance of the equipment. For some porous insulating materials, mold roots can penetrate deep into the material, causing insulation breakdown.
  • Metal rust. When the equipment is in a highly humid environment for a long time, some metal components or casings will rust, reducing the performance and service life of the equipment.

3. Open the window in fine weather

When it is raining outside or when the weather is cloudy, it is best not to open windows to prevent hot and humid air from entering the house.

4 Quicklime dehumidification

Turn on the air conditioner, adjust to the dehumidification function option, and then run the air conditioner normally.
In this state, the air conditioner is equivalent to a dryer, which can reduce the indoor ambient humidity and effectively ensure that the indoor air humidity is not too large, which is very conducive to the stable operation of the equipment.

6. Regularly clean the dust in the electric cabinet

Dust itself is also very easy to absorb moisture in the air, regular dedusting to the electric cabinet can also effectively reduce the environmental humidity of the cabinet.
In case of water vapor outside the electric cabinet, wipe the water vapor on the surface of the electric cabinet first, turn on the air conditioner (turn on the dehumidification function) for half an hour, and then turn on the equipment power supply for observation to ensure the stable operation of the equipment.

7. Regular inspection

Regularly check the drainage of air compressor, filter element, cold dryer and other components. Avoid the risk of contamination of cutting head lens and machine tool gas pipeline due to failure of air compressor drainage function.
In wet weather, please pay special attention to anti-static and lightning protection. Staff must not wear slippers and must always check whether the ground wire is grounded.
