First, we need to analyze the cutting principle of the laser cutting machine.
The laser itself cannot be the light source. The heat will be generated after the laser is absorbed on the surface of the processed sheet metal.
In the case of rusty or non rusty material surface, the laser absorption is different, and the heat generation will also be greatly affected.

Generally, cutting rusty plates will have the following effects:

The cutting efficiency of rust plate will be reduced, the effect will be poor, and the scrap rate will be high. If conditions permit, it is better to reduce the use of rust plates or handle the use of rust plates.

In fact, the biggest damage is that the hole will burst when drilling and cutting, which will pollute the lens. You can use a grinder to remove rust first.
If the plate is not thick, the impact of less than 5mm will be small, but the quality of the cut product will be affected, and the unqualified rate is high.

The cutting condition of uniformly rusted plates as a whole will be better than that of non uniformly rusted plates.
Because the overall uniformly rusted plate absorbs laser evenly, it can be cut well.
For the processing of materials with uneven rust on the surface, the material surface shall be uniform before cutting.
